The basics

What is an odds API?

A way for software to read bookmakers' prices. Instead of visiting each bookmaker's site, your code makes a web request and gets every price back as structured data. An odds API is about prices, which sets it apart from a sports stats API, though this one also carries game status and results.

What exactly is Fast Odds API?

An Australian sports odds API. One REST request returns pre-match prices from 37 Australian bookmakers plus Pinnacle, Matchbook, ProphetX, Kalshi and Polymarket, across 46 leagues in 13 sports, with props, alternate lines and graded results.

How does it relate to SockOdds?

It is SockOdds. Fast Odds API is a second front door to the same API, run by the same company, ESK Solutions Pty Ltd in New South Wales. Same data, same prices, same plans. Keys, billing and support all happen on sockodds.com.

Who is it for?

Developers building betting tools, comparison sites, tipping and fantasy apps, alert bots, research models and AI agents that need Australian bookmaker prices. It is not a betting service for punters.

Keys and getting started

How do I get a key?

Sign up on sockodds.com with an email address and a mobile number for a text code. Australian, US, Canadian, UK and New Zealand numbers work. The key appears once, so copy it before you leave the page. Get a free key

How do I send the key?

In the Authorization header on every request: Authorization: Bearer followed by your key. A header keeps the key out of URLs, logs and browser history.

How long does it take to get a first response?

Minutes. Sign-up takes about one, and a single GET request returns a league's games with every market and bookmaker on your plan. The quickstart has copy-ready code in cURL, Python and JavaScript.

Can I use the key in a website or mobile app?

Not directly, because anyone can read a key out of client code. Call the API from your server, store what you need, and serve your users from there.

Data and coverage

Which bookmakers are covered?

37 Australian books and exchanges, including Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, TAB, PointsBet, Neds, Unibet, bet365, the Betfair Exchange, betr, Dabble, TABtouch and PlayUp, plus Pinnacle, Matchbook, ProphetX, Kalshi and Polymarket. The full list with keys

Which sports and leagues?

46 leagues in 13 sports: the AFL and AFLW, the NRL, NRLW and the Rugby League World Cup, international rugby union, the NBL, cricket including the IPL, the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, Formula 1, the ATP and WTA tours, esports, and soccer from the Premier League to the Champions League. All 46

How fresh are the prices, and is it live?

Every bookmaker is re-read about every five minutes, pre-match first. Games in progress show a live status, but their prices move on the same five-minute cycle, so this is not a feed for in-play trading. Each quote carries its own observed_at.

What markets are included?

Head to head, line, total and three-way markets for the whole game and its parts (halves, quarters, innings and more), player and team props, and alternate lines where the books offer them.

Does the API give a fair (no-vig) price?

Not as a field. It gives you the inputs: Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange prices beside every Australian book, on the same outcome IDs, so you can remove the margin with the method you trust. The full explanation

Is there historical data?

Pro includes every recorded price change per event, and each outcome's opening and closing price, with recording from 14 August 2026. Graded results come on every plan. More on history

Is horse racing covered?

No. The feed is sport only, with no thoroughbred, harness or greyhound racing.

Plans and billing

What does the free plan include?

2,500 objects a month at up to 10 requests a minute, covering the AFL, NRL, NFL and MLB with prices from Sportsbet, TAB and Ladbrokes. No card, and it does not expire.

What is an object?

One top-level item in a response, usually one game. A game counts once no matter how many markets and bookmakers it carries. How usage is counted

What do the paid plans cost?

Rookie is US$99 a month and Pro is US$299 a month, with 20% off for annual billing. Platform is priced with each customer.

What happens if I go over a limit?

Over the per-minute limit, the API answers 429 with a retry-after header and does not bill the call. Monthly object allowances on Developer and Rookie reset at the start of each UTC month.

Responsible use

Can I place bets through the API?

No. It is data and analytics only: no wagering service, no bets taken, no financial advice. Bets are placed by people, with bookmakers, under the bookmakers' rules.

Where can someone get help with gambling?

Gambling Help Online is free and confidential at any hour on 1800 858 858 or gamblinghelponline.org.au. BetStop, at betstop.gov.au, lets anyone exclude themselves from every licensed Australian online bookmaker in one step.
