Odds API for the AFL, NRL and the world's big leagues
13 sports and 46 leagues, built from the Australian calendar outwards: both footy codes and their women's competitions, the Rugby League World Cup, the NBL and the IPL, then the American majors, Europe's big soccer leagues, the UFC, Formula 1, the tennis tours and esports.
The free plan opens the AFL, NRL, NFL and MLB; every paid plan opens them all. List from the SockOdds API catalogue on 12 Oct 2026; /v1/leagues returns the current list, with each league's sport and region.

Use keys as written
Copy the league key, do not build it
League keys are looked up, not assembled from a pattern. The AFL is afl and the NRL women's competition is nrlw, but the Champions League is champions_league and Serie A is serie_a. Take them from the table or from /v1/leagues and your requests will not quietly come back empty.
A league key already implies its sport, so league is the only filter you need to pick a competition.
One set of keys
Market keys that read the same in every sport
Markets are named for what they settle on: winner is the head to head, result the head to head with the draw, handicap the line, and a total is named for the sport's scoring stat, total_points in the footy codes, basketball and the NFL, total_goals in soccer and hockey, total_runs in baseball. /v1/markets?league=afl lists exactly what one league can carry, which is what lets one parser handle every league.
Periods follow the same idea. full is the whole match and regulation leaves out overtime; halves are half_1 and half_2; quarters run quarter_1 to quarter_4; hockey periods period_1 to period_3; baseball has innings_1_to_5; tennis sets start at set_1. Each league lists the periods it allows.
Local depth
What the Australian codes carry
Beyond head to head, line and total, the Australian codes are where the player markets run deepest. A few examples of what the books price:
Disposals, goals, tackles
Player disposal, kick, mark and tackle lines, anytime, first and last goalscorer, plus quarter and half markets.
Try scorers and margins
Anytime, first and last try scorer, tries and run metres, half markets, line and total, with the Rugby League World Cup as its own league.
Results and runs
The head to head, the result with the draw, and batter runs lines for the IPL and internationals.
What is priced on a given game depends on the books. /v1/markets lists every market a league can carry; the odds response shows what the books are pricing. More on player props
Questions
About the league list
Which leagues come with the free plan?
The AFL, NRL, NFL and MLB. Rookie, Pro and Platform open them all.
Is the A-League or the Big Bash covered?
Neither appears as its own league in the list read on 12 Oct 2026; cricket outside the IPL sits under the general cricket league. Check /v1/leagues for the current list, and ask [email protected] if a competition you need is missing.
Do you have futures and outright markets?
No. The feed prices games, not season-long markets such as the premiership winner.
Is horse racing included?
No. Thoroughbreds, harness and greyhounds are out of scope; the feed is sport only. Esports appear where a covered book prices a covered league, such as League of Legends and Counter-Strike.
How do I get the current list in code?
Call /v1/leagues. Each row has the league's key, name, sport and region, and /v1/sports lists the sports.
